Resolution No. ____, 2012 

            Council Member __________________ presented the following Resolution and moved its adoption: 

WHEREAS, it is necessary to construct a replacement pipe bridge for the Madison Avenue Sanitary Sewer Crossing over Cayadutta Creek; and 

            WHEREAS, a design for the pipe bridge and related sanitary sewer improvements has been completed by the City’s consultant, Greenman-Pedersen, Inc., and submitted to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation for approval. 

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT

            RESOLVED,    that the City Clerk be and she is hereby authorized to advertise once in the Leader-Herald, the official newspaper for the City of Johnstown, and the Daily Gazette, that the City is accepting sealed written bids for the construction of the Madison Avenue Sanitary Sewer Pipe Bridge. Specifications and Bid Forms will be available in the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 33-41 East Main Street, Johnstown, New York for a non-refundable fee of $20.00 (with an additional $5 shipping/handling fee if mailed). Said bids will be publicly opened by the City Clerk and City Engineer on the 26^th day of March, 2012 @ 10:00am in the City Clerk’s Office. The City hereby reserves the right to reject any, and all, bids.
