  • November 29th & 30th - A weekend series of holiday events in historic sites across the Mohawk Valley.
With three site visits stamped in a passport, visitors will experience diverse customs and traditions at multiple sites.

HERITAGE HOLIDAYS IN THE MOHAWK VALLEY

Johnstown, NY:   As one of seven historic sites celebrating Heritage Holidays across the Valley, Johnson Hall State Historic Site’s festivities will take place both November 29 and November 30, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Hot cider, cookies and decorations created by Wade Wells will be featured as well as period music. On Saturday, November 29 Celtic music will be performed by Greg Schaaf and Glenn Weiser; and on Sunday, November 30, music by Liaisons Plaisantes.

At each site visitors will be able to pick up a “Heritage Holidays passport” which lists the days and times for all of the participating sites.  The passport will be marked at each site visited, and after stamped visits at three sites your name will be entered into a drawing to win a Heritage Holiday Gift Basket containing items from all of the participating sites. The drawing for the basket will be held on December 7. A History Hunt card will allow you to look for items you might ordinarily miss at each site.
