Resolution No. ____, 2012 

            Council Member __________________ presented the following Resolution and moved its adoption: 

WHEREAS, it is necessary to construct a replacement bridge over the Cayadutta Creek at the North Perry Street crossing; and 

WHEREAS, the City of Johnstown has commenced on the project known as North Perry Street over Cayadutta Creek Bridge Replacement Project, PIN 2753.85; and 

WHEREAS, a design for the bridge replacement project has been completed by the City’s consult, Aecom Technical Services Northeast, Inc., and approved by the New York State Department of Transportation; and 

            WHEREAS, the City has secured 80% grant funding from the Federal Highway Administration and 15% grant funding from New York State Marcheselli Funds, said grant monies being available through a program administered by the New York State Department of Transportation. 

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
            RESOLVED,   that the City Clerk be and she is hereby authorized to advertise once in the Leader-Herald, the official newspaper for the City of Johnstown, and the Daily Gazette, that the City is accepting sealed written bids for the construction of a replacement bridge over the Cayadutta Creek at the North Perry Street crossing. Specifications and Bid Forms will be available in the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 33-41 East Main Street, Johnstown, New York for a non-refundable fee of $50.00 (with an additional $10 shipping/handling fee if mailed). Said bids will be publicly opened by the City Clerk and City Engineer on the 21^st day of March, 2012 @ 10:00am in the City Clerk’s Office. The City hereby reserves the right to reject any, and all, bids.
