Resolution No. _____, 2012 

Council Member                                                  presented the following Resolution and moved its adoption. 

WHEREAS, it is necessary to construct a replacement bridge over the Cayadutta Creek at the North Perry Street crossing; and 

WHEREAS, the City of Johnstown has commenced on the project known as North Perry Street over Cayadutta Creek Bridge Replacement Project, PIN 2753.85; and 

WHEREAS, a design for the bridge replacement project has been completed by the City’s consult, Aecom Technical Services Northeast, Inc., and approved by the New York State Department of Transportation; and 

WHEREAS, sealed written bids for the construction of a replacement bridge over the Cayadutta Creek at the North Perry Street crossing were opened on March 21, 2012; and 

WHEREAS, the following bids were received, annexed hereto as Schedule “A”     

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED, that the City hereby accepts the following bid:

and be it further                                                

RESOLVED, the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized to execute a contract with D.H. Smith Company, Inc. for the construction of a replacement bridge over the Cayadutta Creek at the North Perry Street crossing.
